Board of Directors
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Meet the Board that oversees the daily operations of Orlando Thunder, its mission, its goals and most of all, our children. Many of our volunteers have full-time day jobs and set aside their personal time to help the club run efficiently so all our children have the best experience possible!
This team of dedicated volunteers is a cooperative group who would love to get to know you and help you in your journey with Orlando Thunder. Please introduce yourself by the pool, chat with them on TeamSnap chat, and ask them any questions you have. Welcome to our water polo family!
Erica has a daughter in the Junior program. As president, Erica oversees all aspects of the program from coaches, scholarships, team gear, equipment, you name it, she's been involved. Introduce yourself and use her as a resource!
Julie has kids in the HS Girls program. She is often in charge of concessions at our hosted tournaments and would love some more volunteers!
Betty had two kids in HS Boys. One just graduated, so she's down to one! Betty has a great sense of finances and keeps us in the black while finding ways to help supplement tournament fees when feasible and keep costs down for our athletes with our fundraising proceeds.
Megan has kids in the Junior and HS Boys groups and has 2 years of experience planning for JO travel. If you have questions about JO's and how much it costs, Megan is your resource! Megan is also often in charge of the scoring tables at tournaments and is always looking for volunteers willing to learn to help run score tables/time clocks.
Brian has kids who have just moved from Juniors to HS Girls and HS Boys. Brian is happy to help new parents understand more about what to expect at tournaments, operating the clocks and how to read the brackets and scheduling for tournaments.
Sean has a son who played for Orlando Thunder for 5 years, before we had a juniors program! Sean has graciously stayed on our board to provide historical foundation and perspective. His kids are in college now, so he's a great resource for the board and parents alike!
