The High School Team is made up of players with varying levels of experience. Orlando Thunder is dedicated to building our players into highly effective tournament level competitors. 

 

As we are also committed to growing the sport of water polo in Orange and Lake counties, we offer training for high school players who want to level up and learn new skills to be more competitive for their high school season.

• Current USAWP membership required for registration

• Attendance at practice is expected

• Participation is up to the Coaches' discretion  

• Transportation and travel arrangements are the responsibility of each athlete

The Rising Juniors Team is for athletes in grade 8 who will be entering grade 9 in the fall.  It is tailored to the middle school schedule during school, then moves athletes up to play with their soon-to-be high schoolmates in the summer so they are ready to compete at the High School level of play.

Our Junior program focuses on developing players ages 8-14.  Our Splashball program is for true beginners at a young age (8-9 years) and is only available in the summer season starting in April.

 

A strong swimming background is a key component to being successful in water polo.  Athletes should be able to swim 50 yards without stopping to rest.

​

Athletes will be divided up into ability groups so they get the proper attention and coaching for their current level. 

​

If you are new, please come out for a free trial at ANY practice to see if our sport is for you and what level you should register for. 

​

The Orlando Thunder Masters Water Polo program is a co-ed, multi-skill level group. Members’ ages range from 18 to 50+, while experience levels include high school, college, and college club to national and international levels as well. Participants must be 18+ and have a current USA Water Polo Membership.

 

Our primary goal is to provide more water polo opportunities for all people living in Lake and Orange County Florida.
